Meet Brianna Critch, AVP, Loan Originator III at Claremont Savings Bank. Brianna has been employed with Claremont Savings Bank for a total of 8 years, and the last 3.5 years she has been in her current role with the Residential Lending Department. Her office is located in Claremont, NH, but she can serve her customers from anywhere thanks to Wi-Fi!

If you have questions about lending, or about Brianna's journey in becoming a Loan Originator, look no further.

How did your start?

I started [at Claremont Savings Bank] in 2015 as a teller, and I progressed through various retail positions until I found my current home in residential mortgage lending in 2020.

What services do you offer?

We offer lending products for land, construction, refinancing, first time homebuyers, manufactured housing, home equity fixed loans and lines of credit. We also offer credit counseling and general consumer education services.

When should a customer reach out to you?

I can be of assistance when someone is looking to purchase real estate, consolidate debt, make home repairs, build a home, refinance an existing loan for a better rate or term, or prepare themselves for any of the previously mentioned goals.

What is a common misconception in your field?

The most common misconception that I see is people thinking that they need a massive down payment or perfect credit to buy a house. While having ample reserves and healthy credit will expand your options and possibly allow you to have a lower rate, it doesn’t mean that you can’t accomplish home ownership without them.

We offer multiple 0% down payment options and are passionate about helping people build their credit as they start their journey to homeownership.

What is the best advice you would give to your customer?

Ask questions! Loan Officers understand that taking out a mortgage is not something that the general consumer does on a frequent basis.

You should always stay present while in the process of borrowing money. Understand the terms of your loan and ask questions if you don’t. At the end of the day, you are taking out funds that you will be responsible for repaying in the years to come.

What areas do you currently serve customers?

We serve all of New Hampshire and all of Vermont.

Do you suggest that a customer schedules an appointment for your services?

While we do welcome walk-ins, it is best for both parties to get prepared for the meeting by scheduling an appointment.

What is a fun fact about you?

I will preface this by saying that I would not trust my athletic abilities nowadays! That being said, I was the varsity softball captain my junior and senior years at Kearsarge Regional High School and was one of the players asked to participate in the Granite State Games (the players are chosen from different schools and divisions out of all NH players). I also hunt!

What is your greatest success story?

There is nothing more rewarding than working with someone who doesn’t qualify to borrow funds at first, educating them, then having them return and qualify to accomplish their goals. I’ve been fortunate enough to have this happen several times.

You can’t put a price on the glow of pride in someone’s smile when they tell you their credit score rose "X" amount of points after following my advice.
